Terms
When buying a gecko from LZRDGRL, you accept the following terms:
Payment
Once you've made your choice, email LZRDGRL the gecko's ID number, to make sure that it is not on hold or sold yet.
Upon receipt of confirmation that it is still available, email your shipping address.
The preferred payment method is PayPal. If you would like to use another method, indicate this in your email. Checks will be subject to clearing.
Animals on Hold
LZRDGRL will hold your gecko for a week without deposit.
If you want it to be held for two weeks, you have to make a 25% deposit by PayPal.
In case you're still waiting for a cage or supplies, and want your gecko to be held longer than two weeks (maximum: one month), you have to pay in full.
Shipping
Contact LZRDGRL to arrange shipping dates as soon as possible. Shipping will be done through
shipyourreptiles.com using the carrier FedEx (overnight delivery only, no ground delivery). You can find
free shipping quotes HERE.
It usually amounts to USD 40-60 and depends on your location.
Contact LZRDGRL to inquire about additional prices (insulated styrofoam box, cool/hot pack, deli cup). The prices for these shipping supplies from
shipyourreptiles.com can be found
HERE. Keep in mind those are BULK prices; if you want just ONE item, divide the total price by the quantity of items to get the costs for a single item!
If LZRDGRL has used styrofoam boxes in mint condition, those will be used, and you won't be charged. Otherwise, you pay for a new box. The box size for just one gecko is 7x7x6", and it weighs 2 pounds.
Shipment is subject to weather conditions. The boxes will be equipped with cold/heat packages, as may apply.
Somebody aged 18 or over must be home at the time of day your gecko will be delivered, and sign. Otherwise, you waive your claims in case a gecko arrives dead.
Guarantees and Claims
Guarantee of Sex
Baby geckos under 4 months of age are temperature sexed (TS), which means they should be female since LZRDGRL is incubating her geckos at 83 degrees F. However, there is no guarantee that there is not a male among them.
Only geckos over 4 months are visually sexed (VS), which gives you a 100% certainty.
Guarantee of Live Delivery when Shipping
All geckos shipped by LZRDGRL leave their home in perfect condition. No babies lighter than 15 grams are being shipped (although they can be picked up locally. Please bring your own box.).
LZRDGRL guarantees live delivery if a person aged 18 or older has signed the receipt upon delivery of the package.
I'm not responsible for damage when you're not home, and the gecko has to sit in front of your door in the cold or heat.
In case your gecko should arrive dead although somebody aged 18 or over was there to receive it, take a digital photo and email it as proof to LZRDGRL no later than 72 hours after the incident. Do not freeze and send the gecko back; bury it in your backyard! If you had signed upon delivery and email a proof, you will receive a similar gecko upon request at your shipping costs, or your money back.
I am not shipping at temperatures below 40 degrees F or over 90 degrees F unless you insist. In this case, I will provide heat or cold packs, but I won't give you a live-arrival warranty, and won't replace or refund your gecko should it arrive deceased.
If Gecko loses Tail during Shipment
If your gecko arrives alive, but with a broken tail, LZRDGRL won't refund the whole price or send a free replacement gecko, since such things can happen during transport; however, I'm willing to work something out with you (e.g., refund half the price, or give a discount on another animal at your shipping cost). LZRDGRL won't take your animal with the broken tail back, so don't submit the poor gecko to another trip in a package through the mail! Let it recover and give it plenty of food, since geckos store their nourishment in their tails. You can still breed a gecko with a broken tail. It will grow back, just not as beautiful as it has been before. Contact LZRDGRL with an emailed photo of the animal with the broken tail no later than 72 hours after the incident.
Guarantee of Live Delivery when Picked up at Show or Business
All geckos shipped by LZRDGRL leave their home in perfect condition. Babies lighter than 15 grams can be picked up at show or from business.
LZRDGRL guarantees life for 48 hours. If the animal you purchased at a show or from the business dies within two days and it was NOT your obvious mishandling fault (your kids, your cats, etc.) or a transportation hazard (such as climate, rough handling, or accident), then LZRDGRL will work something out with you (such as refunding the purchase price through PayPal, or free replacement gecko of the same price range at your shipping costs). You need to provide an emailed photo of the deceased animal as evidence no later than 72 hours after the incident.
Guarantee of As-Is (photo)All photos of the animals for sale are taken with a digital camera and are not altered in any way. The pictures are taken inside with a flash, not outside in direct sun light, and the animals are not made wet to enhance their colors.
MorphsI am NOT an expert in genetics, and establish the morph of your animal from the morph of its Dam and Sire. You will always find a photo and description of its breeders on my webpage, to view their phenotypes and genotypes. Please make sure that the animal is exactly what you wanted, since I cannot answer any difficult genetics-related questions.
I use the
Genetics Wizard to establish the genotypes of the offspring by typing in the parents' genotypes.
Morphs can be calculated by using the
Punnet Square. If you are a beginner like me, use the following
Morph Guide (nice pictures), or the one
Paul Sage (good explanations) has published. For morphs incompatible with each other (due to the three different albino strains, Tremper, Rainwater, and Bell) check the discussion of particular gecko morphs by
Geckos Etc. Herpetoculture.
Since the breeders were purchased from other traders, there might always be a possibility that they are het for something their sellers did not indicate, so I won't be able to tell you what their offspring might be het for. In some cases, the trader told me they were "possible het," and I indicated this in my online description. I cannot give you a warranty that my "diagnosis" of your animal's morph is always 100% correct. If you have any doubt, consult an experienced breeder. You are welcome to use my photos and morph descriptions on the
geckoforums to ask questions there, if you have previously established contact with me and are interested in a purchase.

Lots of babies are waiting for a nice new home and owner!
